Happy Father’s Day

Happy Fathers Day to all those dads, bonus dads, and mentors out there! Going to make this one short and sweet today.

If there’s one thing I think I’m at least somewhat qualified to speak about, it’s being a father. Like many dads out there today, I was fortunate to spend time with all of my kids today, and I started thinking legacies and what we are leaving for our kids. It’s easy to get caught up in the here and now – Am I providing enough for my kids? Am I fostering an independent mindset? Have I helped them grow by giving them a good example? We have all asked ourselves these questions. It’s just in a fathers nature to keep worrying, but thinking about the future is just as important as thinking about right now.

This is one of the biggest reasons why I have decided to run for a bigger government office, I want to look out for my kids. Honestly not just my kids, but the entirety of the youth in this County. Helping shape the financial policies of our County has one of the biggest impacts on day-to-day living AND future of all of our residents. Everyone in this County is important, but we need to focus on the future to ensure that todays Fulton County youth become tomorrows Fulton County adults. Without them, we have no future. You don’t have to go far to find counties in our state that are drying up because there was nothing for young adults to come back to, and while I don’t thing we’re anywhere close to that, we can’t become complacent to the fact that we need to retain our youth.

Everyone leaves a legacy, whether they intend to or not. I would like to leave a positive legacy in this place that I have made my home, and I intend to do that by protecting our land any way I can, making sound fiscal decisions, and using my personal beliefs and experiences to help make decisions that will impact thousands.

It's official from the Party, I will be on the ballot in November! Thank you to ALL who have supported me and shared my posts, I couldn't have done this without the incredible amount of support from the community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I'm here because of you and I will not let you down. I'm not going to rest on my laurels, we're still going to push to November, but please know that I am overwhelmed with the love and support from all of you. Thank you one and all!
