Why I’m Running

• I have been serving my Township for the last 3+ years as an Advisory Board member and would like to take a bigger role within the Fulton County government.  If elected, my goal is to become a larger presence in our Township level boards.  How can I possibly know what’s best for District 1 constituents if I’m not present at Town and Township meetings? 
• If I accomplish nothing else, I at least wanted to give voters in District 1 a choice, which is what free and democratic elections are about.
• I want to represent the hundreds of young families just like mine.  The County Council is primarily responsible for deciding how taxpayer money is used, and I feel that young families like mine are not thoroughly represented.  I believe that councils like this (whether it is City or County) should be a cross section of the local population.  After all, the money spent today may have impacts on future generations, and I think that it is important for people who decide how money is used should have this in mind.
• I want to do whatever I can to ensure that my children, and all of the other children and young people have a reason to return to Fulton County and call it home.  While I was not born here, I consider Fulton County to be my home, and I love where I live.  When I’m done, I want nothing more than to leave Fulton County a better place for future generations.  

While these are my primary reasons, there are many others that continue to motivate me.
